Half crown coin ring (1937)

Half crown (British coin)
King George VI (1920-1946): 50% silver half crowns were issued until 1946 when the metal was changed to cupro-nickel.  See here for a history of coin composition in the UK.

This particular ring has had a dark patina added and the highlights buffed off to reveal all the details.

Our rings are unique and made to order.  Coins are selected from circulated currency and are chosen carefully for their quality and definition.  They will inevitably show some wear from their lifetime of use. This gives each ring its own individual character.  No two rings are the same.

Once selected, each coin is carefully shaped into an unbroken ring, retaining its original design, both inside and out.

As we select and craft each ring to order, please allow 7 – 10 days for delivery.

Rings are supplied in a slimline presentation box.

Making your selection

1 – Chose your ring size. We use UK ring sizing. If you do not know your ring size, this handy guide will help you find your correct size, and covert from other systems, or you can order our ring sizer for £2.00 with free postage here

2 – Choose your preferred finish. We offer our rings in a highly polished finish, or with a darker patina to make the design stand out. See our product photos for examples of both finishes. Choose “polished” or “darkened”.

3 – Choose the date you require.
